We love children here at Community! We work hard to create a fun, safe, educational environment to help your children grow in their faith in Jesus.
When parents arrive at Community, we encourage them to sign in their children at the Community Center (at the top of the stairs on the right). Parents will receive a sticker with an identifying number that will be used to pick up their children after Sunday School. After signing in, we invite the whole family into the sanctuary, where all the children have the opportunity to experience part of worship together with their parents.
After a short time in worship, children are dismissed to Sunday School. They are asked to follow the balloons and off they go downstairs to Kid’s Connect. Loving, caring teachers wait in their classrooms as the children arrive. After depositing their offerings in the little, white church the children go to their age-appropriate classes. Each class is learning the same Bible lesson through the Faith Weaver Curriculum (a program that takes learners of all ages through the Bible in three years).
When the worship service has ended, parents find their way downstairs to the receptionist window at Kid’s Connect. After turning in their sticker, parents may proceed to the waiting area for their children to be released from Sunday School. This is a good time for parents and teachers to connect and discuss what the children are experiencing.
All children 3 years old (and potty trained) through sixth grade are welcome in Sunday School. For those children who are younger, we have a nursery available to serve you. |
