his sermon uses the metaphor of "landslides" - unexpected life changes and disappointments - to explore where God is in our struggles. Through the life of Moses, the pastor illustrates that God remains present and faithful even in our most difficult moments. The sermon challenges the false theology that God only shows up when life is good, instead affirming that Jesus is most present in our struggles. Moses experienced multiple landslides: his impulsive killing of an Egyptian guard, his reluctant call back to Egypt, 40 years of wandering instead of a six-month journey, his moment of anger at the rock, and ultimately not entering the Promised Land. Yet through each disappointment, God remained present, guiding and sustaining him. The central message is that God sees potential in us that we don't see in ourselves, and Jesus walks with us through every valley, knowing us by name and calling us forward even when we resist.
